I have deepnote as an AC3 audio file, along with a lot of other sound clips such as the original Dolby Digital trailers (the steam train is my favourite), and when ever I'm tweaking the audio in my Home Cinema I always fire them all up and give the house a good shake :)
It doesn't necessarily have to come from a subwoofer. Dolby specifically states that the LFO channel does not have to correspond to a physical speaker. The LFO channel only exists to ease retrofitting a subwoofer into old cinemas (in that case they would simply wire the LFO to a subwoofer and be done). But any other channel can contain bass information and in practice a new cinema will use a bass management system to route bass from all channels into their subwoofers. In theory a cinema could also have no subwoofers at all and send all bass to the mains and drop the LFO. It all works.

You mean outside the entire advertising industry? Now you might argue that advertising companies are more focused on selling ads to clients than optimizing the ad experience for victims, but it's an entire sector of the economy focused on exploiting the poor decision-making abilities of humans.
Yes, I think the lack of demand is for non-exploitative roles.
Of course, as long as we have had enough understanding that we can affect others, there has been a demand for exploitation through bias.
I think the hope here is that we would create positions that allow BE to benefit others AND businesses by helping people make better decisions. It sounds a bit utopian, but it's certainly not impossible that everyone could benefit from people making decisions that are beneficial to their well-being.
Honestly, I would expect the NTSB to investigate any kind of accident involving rare or new technology. I'd expect to see them investigate a higher percentage of accidents involving electric vehicles and self-driving vehicles until those technologies are safe enough and proven enough that you get diminishing returns from the investigations.
Tesla probably also has one of the higher counts of deployed electric vehicles out there too, so the absolute number of units involved in anything unusual should be expected to be high too. The interesting context would be relative numbers to number of units and miles travelled for both regular vehicles as well as other makers electrics.
I couldn't be happier that my tax dollars are going to harness the power of the blockchain to solve the problems of "food deserts" and gentrification.

That's definitely not what a decentralized database is needed for. Any centralized SQL database could this much better and efficiently.

Through what technical mechanism? Or to rephase how does a distributed ledger help you shop for groceries or government services? Because without the distributed ledger, there's no blockchain.
Frankly who is even signing the ledger? If there's only two interested parties, why would third parties agree to literally burn money/electricity signing the ledger to verify?

This is incorrect. Almost every law enforcement organization in the United States tracks the number of arrests made by each officer, and there is ample evidence that this information is used when making personnel and staffing decisions.

Ostensibly, there is the possibility for significant execution speed improvements though AOT optimization in the compiler, and simpler (and therefore faster) JIT compilation in the browser.

What centralized authority? The keys in the genesis block aren't owned by a single actor, but by multiple.
You can keep the validator set static all the time (use the ones from the genesis block), this might be useful for private chains. But Tendermint also allows for dynamic validator sets. This is useful for Proof of Stake, where validators can come and go, and their voting power can change in accordance with changes in their stake deposits.
